About The Position

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring a full-time Hospital Floor Technician at Flagstaff Medical Center in Flagstaff, Arizona. The Floor Technician may work anywhere on the client’s premises and is responsible for cleaning and maintaining healthcare campus facilities in an orderly condition. Duties may vary by account according to business needs, client requirements, and industry standards.

The role works the 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. shift, including rotational weekends and holidays. The hourly rate is $22.00, plus a $1.50 shift differential. Responsibilities include routine hard-floor cleaning and assigned floor-care projects. The position may also involve performing Area Cleaner or Waste Disposal Technician duties and other related work.

Requirements

• Complete a post-offer medical examination, background screening, and drug test.
• Ability to stand and walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• Ability to work standing for long periods.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
• May be exposed to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas and corridors for cups, spills, paper, and debris.
• Clean corners, edges, and baseboards in assigned areas.
• Dust-mop hard-floor areas, including behind doors, and move movable objects from the floor area.
• Remove marks and scuffs from floors.
• Damp-mop floors using the assigned cleaning chemical or operate a scrubbing machine.
• Use floor machines for assigned project work.
• Burnish floors using a high-speed floor machine as directed.
• Scrub and strip floors as needed or assigned.
• May perform Area Cleaner duties.
• May perform Waste Disposal Technician duties.
• Perform related work as required.
