About The Position

Xanitos, Inc. is hiring a full-time Floor Technician for the second shift at Merit Health River Oaks in Flowood, Mississippi. The role cleans and maintains floors and keeps assigned facilities or locations in orderly condition within a healthcare campus. Floor Technicians may work in any location on client premises, and duties may vary based on account needs, client requirements, and industry standards. The stated hourly rate is $14.50, and the second shift runs from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The position includes routine floor care and monitoring, as well as project work using floor machines. The employee may also perform Area Cleaner or Waste Disposal Technician duties and other related work as required. Post-offer medical screening, background screening, and drug testing are required.

Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods and regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to frequently climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds.
Close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
May be exposed to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the janitorial industry.
Medical cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor assigned areas and corridors for cups, spills, paper, and debris.
Clean corners, edges, and baseboards in assigned areas.
Dust mop hard-floor areas, including behind doors and around movable objects.
Remove marks and scuffs from floors.
Damp mop floors using the proper assigned cleaning chemical or use a scrubbing machine.
Use floor machines for project work as assigned.
Burnish floors with a high-speed floor machine as directed.
Scrub and strip floors as needed or assigned.
May perform Area Cleaner job duties.
May perform Waste Disposal Technician job duties.
Perform related work as required.
