Floor Technician - FT - Day

About The Position

The Floor Technician performs tasks to provide a clean environment for patients at Oxley Park Health & Rehab. The role includes maintaining floors and housekeeping equipment, handling waste disposal, and reporting needed repairs. The technician is expected to communicate professionally and warmly with associates, patients, family members, and visitors, and to contribute to collaborative work and the success of the System.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Ability to meet the described physical demands, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.

Responsibilities

Dust, sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors as scheduled by the supervisor.
Clean and store equipment at the end of each shift.
Report needed repairs.
Perform waste disposal procedures as required by the supervisor.
Assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
Promote the image and reputation of the System through servant leadership and direct, open communication.
Contribute to committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts.
Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.
Communicate warmly and professionally with associates, patients, family members, and visitors, responding helpfully to concerns and questions.
