Floor Technician - FT - Day

About The Position

The Floor Technician performs tasks to provide a clean environment for patients at Oxley Park Health & Rehab. This full-time, day-shift role starts at $15.29 per hour and is paid weekly. The position reports needed repairs, properly cares for and uses housekeeping equipment, and supports the organization through servant leadership, communication, and collaborative work. The role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions using common-sense judgment and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Ability to meet the described physical demands, with reasonable accommodations available where applicable.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Dust, sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors according to the supervisor’s schedule.
Clean and store equipment at the end of each shift.
Report needed repairs.
Perform waste disposal procedures as directed by the supervisor.
Assist with the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
Promote the image and reputation of the System through servant leadership and direct, open communication.
Contribute to committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts.
Perform other duties as needed to support the success of the System.
Communicate warmly and professionally with associates, patients, family members, and visitors; respond helpfully to concerns and answer questions when appropriate.
