About The Position
Allegiance is hiring a 2nd Shift Floor Tech for a manufacturing facility in Mt. Holly, North Carolina. The position works Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and pays $17.50 per hour. Allegiance describes itself as a facility services provider and offers on-the-job training. The role performs floor care and general cleaning, including carpet steam-cleaning, floor stripping, waxing, buffing, sealing, and deep cleaning. It also involves moving heavy equipment and furniture and completing other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Prior floor care experience.
- Physical stamina and dexterity.
- Ability to detect safety hazards and communicate with appropriate staff.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments.
- Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Steam-clean carpets.
- Strip floors using the proper machinery.
- Apply wax to coat floors and buff them.
- Apply sealant to floors.
- Deep-clean painted floors using appropriate chemicals or degreasers.
- Clean buildings by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors and cleaning other surfaces.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Move heavy equipment and furniture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
