About The Position

Universal Logistics is a provider of transportation and logistics solutions. Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC), a Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. subsidiary, provides supply-chain logistics services and customized logistics solutions. This Floor Supervisor role supports a Walmart operation in Conley, Georgia, at a high-volume cross-dock facility handling inbound and outbound freight. Work includes trailer unloading, freight scanning, sortation, sequencing, and reloading to support on-time departures. The listed shift is Tuesday through Saturday, 2:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Requirements

• 0–5 years of supervisory or management experience in a warehousing, distribution, or transportation environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inbound and outbound dock operations for cross-docking, including trailer unloading, freight scanning, sortation, and reloading.
• Lead material handlers, forklift operators, and dockworkers.
• Monitor labor productivity, accuracy rates, and trailer dwell times to meet or exceed performance KPIs.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to communicate expectations, safety updates, and workload forecasts.
• Collaborate with Walmart transportation, yard management, and customer service teams to support freight flow and timely departures.
• Ensure pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners are operational and properly maintained.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits and incident investigations.
• Train and mentor dock staff on procedures, performance goals, and operational standards.
• Prepare shift reports, performance data, and other required documentation.
