Floor Staff team members are assigned based on theatre needs and employee availability as variable-hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Floor Staff may work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher, and must represent Regal consistently with its mission statement and policies. This includes regular and consistent attendance, handling emergency situations when called upon, general cleaning, and following the company dress code. In the Box Office, employees operate the POS system and accurately handle cash drawers, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons. They promote premium viewing experiences and Regal Crown Club, ensure tickets are sold according to the MPAA rating system and company policy, and respond to guest calls and questions in keeping with the guest service philosophy. In Concessions, employees operate the POS system, handle payments and coupons accurately, manage concession stock inventory, promote Regal Crown Club and concession offerings, and operate, prepare, and clean concession equipment. They comply with food safety laws and applicable break and meal-period laws. Where applicable, employees must maintain required alcohol certification and training; employees selling or serving alcohol must meet the legal age requirement. Employees must read and understand training materials on topics including sexual harassment and discrimination. As an Usher, employees tear and collect tickets, direct patrons to auditoriums, inspect backpacks and packages when applicable, manage crowd control, assist guests with seating, and enforce the MPAA rating system. They inspect auditoriums for picture and sound quality, content theft, and safety; report problems or unusual situations to management; perform auxiliary concession sales as directed; clean auditoriums after shows and maintain other theatre areas; monitor vending equipment; and assist with opening and closing duties. Successful performance requires completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and box office cashier, or progress toward completion. Employees need effective public speaking, listening, communication, math, problem-solving, prioritization, and time-management skills, and must be able to perform under pressure. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
