About The Position

The Floor Houseperson cleans and services assigned hotel public spaces according to franchise and hotel standards, maintaining established cleanliness and quality standards. The role reports maintenance deficiencies, responds to guest requests and complaints, and helps ensure guest satisfaction and the confidentiality and security of guest rooms. The Houseperson follows housekeeping, safety, and security procedures; handles cleaning chemicals properly; returns and restocks the cart at the end of each shift; and completes scheduled deep-cleaning and seasonal-cleaning duties. Other duties may be assigned. The position is at Playa Largo Resort & Spa, an award-winning 175-room waterfront resort in the Florida Keys managed by Shaner Hotels.

Requirements

• At least one year of cleaning experience.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and coworkers so they understand.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned hotel public areas to the hotel's established cleanliness standards.
• Maintain quality and cleanliness standards throughout daily assignments.
• Report maintenance deficiencies.
• Handle guest requests and complaints, seeking guest satisfaction.
• Protect the confidentiality and security of guest rooms.
• Follow house rules, housekeeping procedures, and safety and security procedures.
• Return and restock the cart at the end of the shift.
• Complete additional deep-cleaning and seasonal-cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
