About The Position

Marriott Syracuse Downtown is seeking a full-time Floor Houseperson for its Housekeeping department. The role helps maintain Crescent’s high standards of quality by ensuring guest-floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas are clean and by assisting room attendants.

The Floor Houseperson must have flexible availability, maintain a professional appearance and manner, communicate well with guests, and be willing to help coworkers as a team player. The position requires physical work, including standing for extended periods and lifting, bending, stooping, walking, pushing, or pulling heavy equipment. Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 pounds. Guest Room Attendant, Housekeeping, and Cleaning & Sanitizing experience is preferred.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants, including delivering supplies directly to room attendants when needed.
• Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash.
• Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors.
• Polish and clean mirrors, guest room door numbers, and elevator doors.
• Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers.
• Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by a supervisor.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
