About The Position
The Floor Care Custodian maintains campus facilities by operating floor-care machinery and performing floor and carpet cleaning. The role also supports general campus cleanup alongside the custodian and janitorial team. This is an on-site, full-time position at Wentworth St, Charleston, SC 29401, scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Pay is $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience.
Requirements
- Reliable and attentive to detail.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to lift, push, and operate floor-cleaning machinery.
Nice To Haves
- Floor-care experience, including buffing, stripping, and waxing, is preferred.
- Experience as a Floor Tech, custodian, or cleaner is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate floor-care equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, and extractors, to maintain clean and safe floors.
- Perform floor stripping, waxing, and buffing, as well as deep carpet cleaning.
- Support general campus cleanup alongside the custodian and janitorial team.
