About The Position

Kessler Rehabilitation Center is hiring a full-time Float Patient Service Specialist for its Central Region outpatient rehabilitation centers. The role provides front-desk support and helps deliver a positive, seamless experience for patients and clinic staff. The position is 40 hours per week, with day and evening shifts, and pays $20–$24 per hour depending on experience. Reliable transportation is required. Kessler Rehabilitation Center is the outpatient network of Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. It operates more than 90 centers in 13 New Jersey counties and treats more than 38,000 patients annually, providing outpatient physical and occupational therapies for orthopedic, sports-related, work-related, musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and other rehabilitation needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Customer service experience.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of insurance verification.
Experience in healthcare, medical, or dental office administration.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service to create a positive patient experience.
Answer phones.
Manage multiple tasks in a high-volume setting.
Verify insurance and obtain pre-authorizations.
Schedule patient appointments and check patients in upon arrival.
Collect co-payments.
Balance cash daily and make weekly banking deposits.
Complete patient intake and data entry to ensure proper billing.
Complete daily billing reports and work with the central billing office (CBO).
Communicate and collaborate with clinic staff and supporting departments to create an enjoyable, seamless experience.
