Patient Service Specialist- Float/Split
About The Position
The Patient Service Specialist works at the front desk of an outpatient physical therapy center, managing both the patient-facing and business operations of the center. The role helps create an exceptional patient experience by assisting patients before, during, and after visits. This is a full-time float/split position based at New Ballas, with floating coverage across locations in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Jefferson County, Warren County, St. Charles County, and the Illinois counties of Monroe, Madison, and St. Clair. The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexibility required between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Compensation is $19 per hour, with increases based on experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.

- Healthcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and register patients, explain what to expect during their visit, and provide information about their next appointment at checkout.
- Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
- Communicate regularly with insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and the business development team.
- Collect patient co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
