About The Position

Fifth Third Bank is hiring a Float CSR/Teller to provide excellent customer service, connect customers with appropriate business partners, and support efficient operations across different financial centers. The role is accountable for managing risk, following bank policies and procedures, protecting customer confidentiality, and ensuring actions promote a positive customer experience.

The position involves extensive cash handling, maintaining accurate balancing records, resolving customer issues, making appropriate referrals, and staying current on retail policies and financial center procedures. It requires flexibility in scheduling and travel between financial centers. The work takes place in a normal office environment and involves extensive viewing of computer screens.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to handle extensive cash transactions.
• Ability to interact comfortably and confidently with the public.
• Ability to adhere to dress code guidelines.
• In-depth knowledge of retail policies and procedures to perform the essential duties.
• Ability to take initiative and demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making and problem resolution.

• Flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive customer service by listening to customers’ needs, asking questions, and guiding them to appropriate financial resources.
• Follow up on customer questions and find solutions to address issues.
• Respond to correspondence promptly and clearly.
• Protect customer confidentiality and follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies.
• Perform daily office responsibilities in coordination with the platform team to support efficient office operations.
• Maintain balancing records in accordance with policy, identify and correct outages, and seek assistance when needed.
• Stay current on bank policies and financial center procedures, and share feedback with the RAM, Financial Center Manager, and Program Manager.
• Handle consumer and business customer problems professionally, escalating complex issues to the Lead Customer Service Representative or other leadership as appropriate.
• Use sound judgment and follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Identify customer needs during interactions and outreach, and refer customers to bankers or business partners for consultative conversations.
• Maintain working knowledge of retail products and services.
• Use appropriate tools to track referrals to personal bankers and business partners.
• Work collaboratively in different financial centers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
