Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Flight Inspector at Level 2 or Level 3 to join its team at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The position is 100% onsite and does not accommodate telecommuting. The Flight Inspector implements the quality system for Space Launch System (SLS) production by monitoring and recording results from manufacturing processes and procedures. The position follows a 4/10 schedule, with Fridays off; scheduled Friday work, rotating shifts, and overtime may be required as demand grows. This role is offered through Northrop Grumman’s SkillBridge Program, an approved Department of Defense program for service members preparing for civilian careers. Participants gain hands-on, on-the-job training in a professional setting during the final phase of military service, working a schedule equivalent to 40 hours per week. The program provides professional development, leadership networking, and training related to company principles, history, customer and stakeholder engagement, products and services, and job responsibilities. Participants are not compensated by Northrop Grumman and continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members. The program may provide a potential path to a full-time opportunity at its conclusion. Applicants must meet SkillBridge eligibility criteria: at least 180 days of active-duty service; within 12 months of separation or retirement; anticipated honorable discharge; completion of service TAPS/TGPS; participation in an ethics brief within the past 12 months; and written authorization and approval from the unit commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in the chain of command) before starting the program.
