About The Position

The Flexo Press Operator is responsible for manufacturing printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions. The operator completes press make-readies and operates the press to meet customer specifications while maintaining quality, minimizing waste, and supporting press efficiency. The role also includes performing quality checks, equipment maintenance and cleaning, and accurately recording material usage and time in the GlobeTek system. The position is offered across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of printing press operator experience and/or training.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to meet the role's physical demands, including standing, frequent walking, using hands to feel and touch, reaching, and talking and hearing; occasional climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Vision abilities including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Follow plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines, and report safety concerns to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
• Complete make-ready according to job tickets and product specifications, using the correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers.
• Complete required quality checks, including product specification, visual, functional, and press-side checks.
• Operate the press to produce products to customer specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency.
• Maintain consistent quality throughout production runs, checking copy, color, registration, ink adhesion, and other applicable quality requirements.
• Complete procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements required by the BRC standard.
• Complete press make-readies efficiently.
• Perform required equipment maintenance duties.
• Clean plates, cylinders, and ink pans, and lubricate the press as needed.
• Enter material usage and time accurately and promptly into the GlobeTek system.
