Flexo Press Operator: 1st Shift
About The Position
Steven Label is seeking a skilled Flexographic Press Operator to set up, operate, and maintain flexographic presses while meeting production and quality standards. The role calls for mechanical expertise, attention to detail, and a team-oriented attitude. The position is based in Santa Fe Springs, California, and works Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Steven Label manufactures labels, overlays, membrane switches, sensors, product instructions for use (IFUs), and folding cartons, largely for the medical device industry. The company has manufacturing locations in California, Arizona, and Mexico, and offers capabilities in screen, flexographic, offset, and digital printing. Its resources include an online system for order placement, tracking, and art submission; ISO 13485 procedures; vendor-managed inventory support; and in-house engineering expertise in membrane switches and medical sensors. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in flexographic printing.
- Strong understanding of flexographic printing, ink theory, color matching, and press troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with press maintenance and safety procedures.
- Ability to follow work instructions in English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with MA P5, P7, or EV presses.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate MA P5, P7, EV, or similar flexographic printing equipment.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance.
- Manage inventory of press supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and provide support as needed.
- Take on additional duties as required.
