About The Position

The Flex Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises, controlling access, and patrolling a variety of locations. The officer preserves order by enforcing regulations and directives at client sites concerning personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. The role involves conflict resolution and de-escalation, frequent interaction with client employees and guests, identifying and reporting safety issues or suspicious activity, completing assigned rounds and property tours, and providing customer service. Officers use technology devices throughout their shifts and perform other similar tasks as required by the assigned site. The position is full-time, based in the St. Paul, Minnesota area, with second- and third-shift availability and travel to multiple metro-area sites.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED required.
Above-average computer and technology skills.
Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
Professional demeanor and strong command presence.
Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
Must participate in pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background investigation.
Must be able to travel to several sites across the metro area.
CPR, first aid, and safe driving certifications.
Must be comfortable engaging with the public constantly and intervening in irate customer situations.
