About The Position

The Flex Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by monitoring premises, controlling access, and patrolling a variety of locations. The officer preserves order while enforcing regulations and directives at client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. The role involves customer service, property tours, monitoring for safety concerns, and using technology devices throughout the shift.

This is a part-time position based in Olathe, Kansas, paying $18.50 per hour. Candidates must be willing to participate in pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background investigation. A Kansas City, KS commissions card is required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Above-average computer and technology skills.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
• Professional demeanor.
• Willingness to participate in pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises, including access control and patrols at a variety of locations.
• Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and the area at client sites.
• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
• Use technology devices throughout the shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out other tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.
• Respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
