About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Response Security Officer for the Sarasota, Florida area. This flexible, event-dependent role varies by assignment and may involve customer service, patrols, surveillance, and responding to changing security needs. Officers are expected to adapt quickly while helping protect people and property.

The position requires an open schedule for second and third shifts. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended. GardaWorld provides a uniform at no cost and offers career growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
• Have responsive and strong problem-solving skills.
• Be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Have at least 6 months of security, military, or law enforcement experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license and a clear motor vehicle record.
• Have a Class D license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the premises to ensure security.
• Conduct patrols to identify suspicious activity.
• Control access points and verify identities.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security.
• Write detailed reports on events and incidents.
• Collaborate with authorities during serious situations.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
