About The Position

The Fleet Manager supervises and coordinates a fleet of over-the-road drivers, providing training and education and ensuring drivers remain focused on company goals. The role manages driver assignments and performance while supporting operational and personnel policies, company programs, and procedures. The position is based in normal office conditions with controlled temperature, low noise, and minimal distractions. A hybrid work option is available after successfully completing training.

Requirements

Preferably a four-year college degree with an emphasis in a field related to the position.
Six to twelve months of related experience and/or training preferred.
Zero to twelve months of previous management experience preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Control costs by following established guidelines and ensuring prompt swaps, T-Calls, and repowers.
Generate accurate weekend pay reports.
Assist with and participate in creating departmental action plans that support the company’s strategic business plan.
Establish, modify, document, and coordinate job documentation or managed areas.
Manage, assign, delegate, and direct drivers’ duties.
Appraise performance; coach, counsel, reward, and discipline drivers.
Maintain harmony among workers and resolve conflicts.
Terminate drivers when necessary.
Support and enforce operational and personnel policies, company programs, and procedures.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training.
Ensure company confidentiality.
