About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting the maintenance, coordination, and overall operational readiness of all company-owned and leased vehicles, including television Mobile Units, box trucks, and cargo vans. The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills and a well-rounded technical background, including experience in mechanical, electrical, and basic carpentry work. A Class A CDL is preferred. This position requires the ability to effectively coordinate across teams, manage fleet-related priorities, and ensure equipment is maintained and ready for deployment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support operations tied to some of the largest media, broadcasting, and sporting events in the world. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Pittsburgh and requires a high level of commitment, including 24/7 on-call availability to support fleet-related emergencies with timely responsiveness.

Requirements

  • 3 years or more of related experience
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of electrical circuit wiring and maintenance
  • Carpentry, mechanical maintenance, fabrication abilities
  • Class A CDL required / strongly preferred
  • Valid DOT medical card preferred
  • 25% travel throughout the United States
  • High School Diploma is required
  • Full open availability

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with outside vendors to maintain the PM’s/Repairs to the Mobile Units.
  • Coordinate with the tractor leasing companies to maintain the required PM’s/Campaigns/Repairs.
  • Work with other Maintenance coordinators to coordinate any maintenance (scheduled or unscheduled) based on priority.
  • Communicate any Mobile Unit repairs needed to the Fleet Managers, Fleet Director, and Operations Coordinators.
  • Communicate with Fleet department and Mobile Unit Drivers all necessary changes with fleet equipment.
  • Facilitate movement between facilities through communication with UPARC personnel.
  • Perform daily yard checks and enter appropriate data into Microsoft Teams.
  • Communicate with engineering and operations to ensure proper placement of mobile units within the compound.
  • Coordinate all truck movement within the compound and to outside vendor locations.
  • Monitor and enter all trailer PM/Inspections and weight slips in the appropriate spreadsheets.
  • Assist Fleet Managers with maintaining and updating the equipment and specifications spreadsheet for Mobile Units and tractors, ensuring it is current and posted on Microsoft Teams.
  • Serve in a 24/7 on-call capacity for fleet-related emergencies, ensuring rapid response and coordination of resolution efforts.
