About The Position

ContainerPort Group (CPG), a World Group company, is hiring a Fleet Coordinator for its growing terminal in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role supports the local customer experience at trucking terminals by building and maintaining relationships with the warehouses and vendors served. The Fleet Coordinator acts as a liaison between terminal operations and the customer-facing team. This is a hands-on, high-execution role that helps position the fleet and terminal operation for success.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with heavy email, phone, and messaging volume.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Transportation Management Systems.

Nice To Haves

• College degree.
• At least one year of trucking industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate quote rates and service capabilities.
• Process orders as they arrive.
• Provide shipment-status information, advise of anticipated service failures and new pickup and delivery times, and offer alternative solutions when applicable.
• Gather feedback, identify trends, and bring forward ideas to improve the customer experience.
• Accurately enter time-sensitive order information into computer systems.
• Respond promptly to questions and requests, making every effort to exceed customer expectations.
• Keep customer location and contact information accurate and up to date in computer systems.
• Perform other duties as requested.
