About The Position

The Fitness Operations Supervisor supports the Director of AquaVie in the daily operations of AquaVie Fitness & Wellness Club, helping ensure members and guests receive elevated service. The role provides leadership and operational support across the Front Desk, Spa Concierge, Spa Attendants, Retail Operations, and facility operations, and partners with Personal Training and Group Fitness teams to create a seamless luxury wellness experience. The supervisor leads by example, upholds service standards, supports guest relations and service recovery, and assists with staffing, team development, scheduling, payroll, labor management, facility readiness, retail and spa operations, reporting, and administrative functions. The role serves as Manager on Duty when assigned and completes special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of AquaVie. This is a non-exempt hourly position with a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least three years of supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality, fitness, spa, wellness, hotel, club, or a related service environment.
Experience leading, coaching, and developing employees in a customer-focused environment.
Experience with scheduling, payroll administration, labor management, and operational reporting.
Strong guest service, conflict resolution, and service recovery experience.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Professional appearance and commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality.
Flexible availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Recreation Management, or a related field.
Experience with retail operations, inventory management, and merchandising.
CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification.
Experience with Club Automation, UKG, Kronos, or similar scheduling and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

Uphold AquaVie's luxury service standards and model professionalism, hospitality, and member engagement.
Assist with guest and member relations, resolve concerns, support service recovery, and foster member satisfaction and retention.
Provide daily operational support for the Front Desk, Spa Concierge, Spa Attendants, Retail Operations, and facility operations.
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and developing team members; support performance management and employee engagement.
Conduct department meetings, communicate operational updates, and promote teamwork and accountability.
Assist with employee scheduling, staffing coverage, payroll review, labor management, and timecard accuracy.
Monitor daily club operations, facility presentation, spa scheduling, and the overall guest experience.
Conduct facility walkthroughs to check cleanliness, safety, operational readiness, and compliance with company standards.
Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned and respond to operational or guest service needs.
Support retail and spa operations, including inventory management, ordering, merchandising, and product presentation.
Maintain operational reports, payroll documentation, labor reporting, SOP updates, and training materials.
Assist with expense management, inventory controls, and revenue-support initiatives.
Partner with leadership to improve operational performance, employee engagement, and financial results.
Follow company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
Complete special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of AquaVie.
