About The Position

The Fish Host/Hostess greets and assists customers, manages wait lines, and helps ensure a positive shopping experience. The role involves answering product questions, offering recommendations, and weighing and pricing products customers order at the Fish service bar. It is a seasonal hourly position paying $18.25 per hour, and applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Team members are expected to work with a positive attitude, collaborate with colleagues, help maintain store efficiency, and represent the store’s S.T.E.W. values in interactions with customers and team members.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
• Ability to safely use tools and equipment used in the daily operation of the department.
• Good customer service skills.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Great work ethic, problem-solving ability, self-motivation, flexibility, and honesty.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and help them feel welcome.
• Manage customer wait lines and assist customers with their shopping experience.
• Answer product questions and offer recommendations.
• Select, package, weigh, and price products ordered at the Fish bar.
• Help pack and price other seafood items for display.
• Keep the work area organized and clean.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with team members and offer assistance and support where needed.
• Help improve and maintain store efficiency.
• Represent the store positively in interactions with customers and team members.
