Requirements

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Pass a drug screening (conditional offer of employment).
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance (conditional offer of employment).
  • Information to support eligibility must be provided on the application.
  • Attach a copy of college transcripts if claiming education.

Nice To Haves

  • Work utilizes Excel, QuickBooks, and other fiscal and office technology
  • Working knowledge of the function of CYS services in relation to invoicing and budget management for the agency.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accounting records and ledgers to support accurate reporting, reimbursements, and other requirements
  • Review and participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with rules and regulations
  • Prepare reports, projections, and updates to help with informed decision making and development work for the agency's county and state budgets
  • Submit invoices for county, state, and federal reimbursement and oversee time studies to ensure accuracy
  • Evaluate provider documentation to confirm contract requirements are met
  • Network and collaborate with caseworkers, supervisors, administrators, provider servicers, the courts, and other involved entities
