Requirements

  • Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting
  • One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting
  • Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting
  • Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Able to perform essential job functions
  • Pass a background investigation
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for federal, state, and county agencies
  • Review provider and administrative invoices to ensure they follow contracts and county regulations
  • Complete and code invoices to assign them to correct accounts and confirm funding availability
  • Analyze spending levels to identify over or under use and make adjustments or recommend contract changes
  • Develop initial budget documents based on allocations, reimbursements, revenues, and projected expenses
