This position supports fiscal operations for Drug and Alcohol programs within the Wayne County Human Services Agency.

Requirements

  • Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting; or Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting; or Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing monthly fiscal reports to monitor expenditures and contracted providers
  • Analyze financial records and apply accounting principles to revenues, expenditures, transfers, and other transactions
  • Post entries to the general ledger and prepare adjustments to correct or close accounts
  • Monitor, reconcile, and correct funds while processing transactions
  • Complete accounts payable processing, payroll allocations, and revenue and expense distributions
  • Prepare materials for audits, track budgets, and assist with invoice and fiscal report analysis
