About The Position

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a Seasonal Cook for the 2027 Spring/Summer season at Yellowstone General Stores in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The role is part of the culinary team and includes food preparation and kitchen operations at locations throughout the park, including areas near Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, and Canyon Village. Employee housing and recreational opportunities are available.

Requirements

Ability to read and understand recipes and food abbreviations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work as a team player, follow procedures, and take directions.
Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
Ability to stand for long periods and bend, lift, and reach.
Ability to place items above and below head height.
Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders.
Ability to work in variable temperatures.

Responsibilities

Clean dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and kitchen items by hand or machine, ensuring dish-machine and pot-sink sanitizer levels meet health requirements.
Follow food preparation standards, including specified portion sizes and quality benchmarks.
Keep the workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked.
Follow waste-control guidelines and record waste on the spoilage sheet.
Clean the work area, including equipment, floors, walls, and cooking area, and keep kitchenware storage organized.
Remove trash, recycling, and compost from the dish room and take it to the correct dumpster; clean and sanitize garbage cans.
Receive and check deliveries for quantity and quality.
Perform opening, closing, and side-work duties, as well as end-of-day inventory.
