Requirements

  • Sprinkler Fitter Red Seal Certified.
  • Backflow Certification
  • 5+ years of experience in Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittets, and operational/product manuals.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Able to participate in an on-call rotation schedule.
  • Overnight travel will be required.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the inspection of sprinkler-based systems, and complete service calls and repairs on sprinkler-based systems.
  • Must be able to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer and/or job requirements.
  • Must perform all duties in a safe and professional manner.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Efficiently and neatly perform work on wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
  • Maintain proper documentation for work performed and must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide verbal and written instructions to apprentices.
  • Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs and be capable of performing physical labor.
  • Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
  • Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with the branch staff and customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
