About The Position

The Fire Sprinkler Service Technician services, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs fire sprinkler systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company quality and safety requirements. The role covers wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems, as well as backflow prevention assemblies. The technician documents service work and deficiencies, communicates system status and service needs, coordinates with customers and internal teams, and supports emergency and on-call service requests as required. The position is based in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Requirements

High school education.
At least 3 years of fire sprinkler service or installation experience.
Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and NFPA standards.
Ability to read and interpret system drawings and specifications.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Basic computer skills, including email.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions, mechanical systems, and active facilities.
Overtime and participation in an on-call rotation may be required.

NICET certification, or the ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

Service, maintain, and repair wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems.
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair backflow prevention assemblies.
Diagnose system issues and identify required repairs or corrective actions.
Conduct system testing, flushing, and functional checks.
Accurately document service activities, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
Communicate system status and service needs with customers and internal teams.
Coordinate with inspectors, project managers, and other technicians as needed.
Maintain service vehicles, tools, and inventory.
Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Support emergency and on-call service requests as required.
