About The Position
The Fire Sprinkler Service Technician tests, maintains, and repairs fire sprinkler systems to ensure they function properly and comply with applicable codes and regulations. The role requires knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. This is a full-time position with an 8-hour, Monday-to-Friday schedule and an hourly pay range of $25.00 to $35.00.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and related equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate a computer and tablet and read electronic blueprints.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work on a ladder.
Nice To Haves
- NICET or state certification.
- BuildingReports software experience.
- ServiceTrade software experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on fire sprinkler systems, including inspecting and replacing sprinkler heads, valves, and other components.
- Troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions, including leaks and faulty valves.
- Conduct flow tests and other required tests to verify system performance.
- Install and repair fire sprinkler system components as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Explain system operation and necessary repairs to customers.
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment in good working order.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Stay up to date on fire sprinkler technologies, codes, and regulations.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service.
