About The Position

Turning Stone Enterprises is hiring a Fine Dining Sous Chef for Salt, its new seventh-floor restaurant featuring panoramic views, private dining spaces, and social dining experiences. The Sous Chef supports the Chef de Cuisine in leading the kitchen team and delivering excellent food quality and guest experiences. The role includes preparing and executing menu items, mentoring culinary staff, and helping maintain smooth, efficient kitchen operations and service.

Requirements

At least 5 years of related experience.
Previous supervisory experience.
Proven kitchen experience and mentorship ability, with a desire to continue learning and growing in a culinary career.
Ability to read and interpret schedules, menus, policies, and other written materials.
Collaborative approach to diverse cuisines and an energetic drive to deliver exceptional dishes consistently.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Support the Chef de Cuisine in overseeing daily kitchen operations and maintaining consistency, quality, and efficiency during service.
Prepare and execute menu items precisely while maintaining high culinary and presentation standards.
Mentor and guide culinary team members and foster a collaborative environment focused on growth and culinary knowledge.
Assist with menu execution, recipe adherence, and food preparation to support excellent guest experiences.
Maintain food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization standards.
Help coordinate service and communicate with the culinary team to support smooth dining experiences.
