About The Position

Delaware North Gaming is hiring part-time Servers at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. The Server represents the restaurant and provides outstanding service, helping create memorable experiences for guests. This is a tipped position; the listed hourly minimum pay does not include potential tip earnings.

Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack is a Delaware North-owned-and-operated regional gaming destination with electronic gaming machines, table games, live greyhound racing, simulcast wagering, a hotel, dining options, and a showroom.

Requirements

• Experience in cash handling and credit card processing.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds and stand, walk, and bend for long periods, potentially including walking up stairs.
• Visual awareness and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks.
• No high school diploma or GED is required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as a server in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, attend to their needs, provide menus, communicate restaurant specials, answer menu questions, and collect food and beverage orders.
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly in accordance with alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Enter orders accurately into the point-of-sale system, process payments, and prepare and deliver guest checks.
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen staff, and bar staff.
• Perform assigned opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work duties, and ensure equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning.
