About The Position
Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time and part-time Valets to join the team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. Valets are often guests’ first interaction upon arrival and are expected to make a positive impression by greeting and assisting guests courteously, parking and retrieving vehicles, and following department operational standards. This is a tipped position; the listed hourly minimum pay does not include potential tip earnings. Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack is a Delaware North-owned-and-operated regional gaming destination featuring electronic gaming machines, table games, live greyhound racing, simulcast wagering, a hotel, dining options, and a showroom.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
- Ability to walk and stand for the duration of the shift and lift 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to lock and unlock cars and drive; ability to stand, crouch, and climb to enter vehicles.
- Sufficient vision for driving.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions in all seasons.
Responsibilities
- Explain the valet payment process and issue guests customer claim and final exit release checks, ensuring the final claim check corresponds with written information.
- Open and inspect vehicles for damage before parking and note all damage.
- Park and secure vehicles, ensuring doors and windows are locked and closed.
- Complete and affix a key tag to each guest key and turn tagged keys in at the key room window immediately after parking the vehicle.
- Operate and retrieve vehicles safely and promptly.
- Greet and assist guests in a positive, courteous manner.
- Adhere to department operational standards.
