About The Position

At Bank of America, the Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) begins by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes and study time for the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams (Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66). The SIE must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and the Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days. After licensing, the advisor learns foundational advisory skills, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; understanding clients’ financial situations; and providing advice and solutions to help clients meet their goals. After reaching key milestones, the advisor begins working in a financial center, delivering core banking, investment solutions, and client care. Successful FSA I employees typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II and may later pursue other roles within Bank of America and Merrill. The Academy provides dedicated programs, tools, resources, training, and coaching throughout this career development journey. The role is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. The employee must register with the federal registry system, complete the required background check and registration process, and remain in good standing. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in immediate termination.
