At Bank of America, the Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) begins by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes and study time for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams. The role then builds foundational advising skills, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; considering clients’ financial circumstances; and providing advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, the advisor works in a financial center to deliver core banking services, investment solutions, and client care. The position includes structured training, onboarding, and one-on-one coaching from Academy managers, with development support throughout the career journey. After demonstrating success as a licensed FSA I, the employee will typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, continuing to grow and deepen relationships within a client portfolio. Further advancement opportunities are available within Bank of America and Merrill. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Employees involved in residential mortgage loan originations must register with the federal registry, complete the required background check and registration process, and remain in good standing. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in termination. The required licenses are the SIE within 30 days of hire and Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days; Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66.
