At Bank of America, a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) begins by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams. After licensing, the advisor learns foundational skills for acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; understanding clients’ financial situations; and providing advice and solutions that support their financial goals. After reaching key milestones, the advisor begins working in a financial center to deliver Bank of America’s core banking and investment solutions and its approach to client care. The role progresses through defined stages of development, supported by training, tools, and resources. Successful licensed FSA I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they grow and deepen relationships within a client portfolio and may pursue other roles at Bank of America and Merrill. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Employees engaged in residential mortgage loan originations must register with the federal registry system, remain in good standing, and complete the required background check and registration process. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in termination. The position is open across the market. The specific financial center location will be based on business needs. The selected candidate will train at one financial center and may initially work in a phone-based capacity until a financial center within a reasonable commuting distance of home is determined, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays required; the shift is first shift and the role is 40 hours per week.
