The Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) role begins with dedicated training to obtain the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 licenses (Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66). After licensing, the advisor develops foundational skills in acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; understanding clients’ complex financial pictures; and providing advice and solutions. At key milestones, the advisor begins working in a financial center, helping deliver Bank of America’s core banking and investment solutions and approach to client care. The Academy provides programs, tools, resources, training, and coaching throughout the development process. Successful licensed Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, with opportunities to advance into other roles at Bank of America and Merrill. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including registration with the federal registry system and completion of a background check. Employees engaged in residential mortgage loan originations must maintain good standing; failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in immediate termination. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a first-shift schedule Monday through Friday and rotating Saturdays. The role is based in the South Orange County market. The specific financial center is determined by business needs; initial training takes place at one financial center, and work may initially be phone-based until another center within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, as permitted by law. The position pays $28.85–$33.65 per hour, with offers determined by experience, education, and skill set. Compensation is base salary and is not incentive eligible. The role is benefits eligible and includes access to paid time off and employee resources and support.
