As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), the candidate begins by obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams; Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66. The role then develops foundational advisory skills, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships, considering clients’ complex financial situations, and providing advice and solutions. After key development milestones, the advisor works in a financial center delivering core banking, investment solutions, and client care. The role is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including registration with the federal registry system and completion of the required background check and registration process. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in termination. Successful licensed Financial Solutions Advisors Stage I typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they grow and deepen relationships within a client portfolio. Further advancement opportunities are available across Bank of America and Merrill, with Academy programs, tools, and resources supporting career development. The position is open across the market, and the specific financial center is determined by business needs. The employee will train at one financial center and may initially work in a phone-based capacity until a location within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, to the extent permitted by law. The position is based in the Irvine, California market. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, on first shift, 40 hours per week. Compensation is $28.85–$33.65 per hour, with offers based on experience, education, and skill set. The role has a base salary and is not incentive eligible. It is benefits eligible.
