At Bank of America, the Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) role begins with obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams. After licensing, advisors learn foundational skills for acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; understanding clients’ financial circumstances; and recommending advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, advisors work in a financial center to deliver core banking, investment solutions, and client care. Successful licensed Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they grow and deepen relationships within a client portfolio. Further advancement opportunities are available within Bank of America and Merrill, with career-development support from The Academy. The role is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including registration with the federal registry system and completion of the required background check and registration process. Registration must be maintained in good standing; failure to obtain or maintain it may result in termination. The position is open across the market. The specific Financial Center location will be based on business needs. New hires train at one financial center and may initially work in a phone-based capacity until a financial center location within a reasonable commuting distance of home is determined, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays required, and 40 hours per week. This is a first-shift position.
