About The Position

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for a Financial Aid Processing Analyst. This position is responsible for carrying out the many processes surrounding packaging, awarding, troubleshooting, and clean-up of Federal and State grants and Federal and Private loans on student accounts. The role involves processing awards and changes to awards from receipt of application to completion in PeopleSoft and SFA. The Processing Analyst also resolves issues with financial aid processes as escalated by various constituents and through case management in SalesForce (SF) or queries and reports from PeopleSoft (PS) or SFA. Additionally, this individual attends outreach activities to meet with prospective and current students and parents, explain financial aid processes, and review student accounts for eligibility and award status. All positions in Academic Affairs contribute to the core mission of increasing enrollment and promoting equitable student success by addressing systemic obstacles and implementing strategic services, programs, and support to enhance student enrollment, retention, successful progression, timely completion, and equitable outcomes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • 1 - 3 years Related Professional Experience.
  • Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
  • Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
  • Employee must not be in overpayment or default status for any Federal Student Aid program or award.

Responsibilities

  • Processing awards and changes to awards from receipt of application (either electronic or paper) to completion in PeopleSoft and SFA.
  • Resolving issues with financial aid processes as escalated by various constituents and through case management in SalesForce (SF) or queries and reports from PeopleSoft (PS) or SFA.
  • Attending outreach activities where they can meet 1:1 with prospective and current students and parents, explain financial aid processes and review student accounts for eligibility and award status.
