About The Position

Pacific Life is seeking a Field Wholesaler for the Consumer Markets Division (CMD), covering Arizona, Southern Colorado, New Mexico, and El Paso. CMD develops retirement solutions, including annuities and mutual funds, for individuals, families, and businesses.

The Field Wholesaler sells mutual funds and fixed and variable annuities across wirehouse, independent, and bank channels. The role is part of the West Division team of 16 external wholesalers and works alongside internal wholesalers and sales management. It develops and maintains relationships with financial professionals and key broker/dealers through in-person and virtual visits and telephone calls, introduces products to established and new broker/dealers, and attends and presents at national, regional, and office broker/dealer sales meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 5 years of direct sales or marketing experience wholesaling variable and/or fixed annuities or mutual funds to wirehouses, banks, and the broker/dealer community.
• Working knowledge of the Salesforce platform and customary business software such as Outlook.
• Strong presentation skills, ability to work independently, and a track record of success.
• Outgoing, adaptive, goals-based approach and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
• Series 6 or 7, Series 63, and Variable Contracts licenses are required.

Responsibilities

• Sell mutual funds and fixed and variable annuities across wirehouse, independent, and bank channels.
• Engage with financial professionals in the independent planner, bank, and wirehouse distribution channels.
• Develop and maintain relationships with financial professionals and key broker/dealers through face-to-face and virtual visits and telephone calls.
• Introduce new products through established and new broker/dealers.
• Attend and speak at national, regional, and office broker/dealer sales meetings.
• Represent CMD's variable annuity, fixed annuity, and mutual fund lines of business.
• Work in partnership with an Internal Wholesaler, other Field Wholesalers, and Sales Management.
• Leverage business tools and resources efficiently.
