HR - Field Training Specialist
About The Position
The Field Training Specialist leads and delivers practical, on-site training for retail store employees and front-line staff across H Mart locations. The role uses English and Korean to support a diverse, multicultural workforce; Spanish is also valued. The specialist translates, localizes, and adapts corporate training materials, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures to support clear understanding and effective execution in stores. Training methods include hands-on coaching, job shadowing, and helping employees complete online learning modules. The specialist works with store managers and regional leadership to identify operational skill gaps and provide tailored training. The role also involves frequent travel to retail locations and may include instructor-led and virtual training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Fluency or high proficiency in written and spoken English and Korean is strongly preferred; Spanish is a major plus.
- Prior learning and development, corporate training, or supervisory experience in the retail, supermarket, or grocery industry.
- Experience establishing internal trainer programs.
- Ability to travel frequently to various retail store locations; a valid driver’s license is required.
- Strong presentation and on-the-floor coaching skills.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with store employees, supervisors, and corporate stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and basic familiarity with AI tools for training preparation and reporting.

Responsibilities
- Lead, deliver, and facilitate engaging, practical on-site training sessions for retail store employees and front-line staff across H Mart locations.
- Conduct training in English and Korean; Spanish-language delivery is also valued.
- Translate, localize, and adapt corporate training manuals, instructional materials, safety guidelines, and SOPs between English and Korean, and into Spanish where needed.
- Use hands-on coaching, job shadowing, and guidance through e-learning and online training modules.
- Collaborate with store managers and regional leadership to identify operational skill gaps and implement tailored training solutions.
- Establish internal trainer programs to empower store managers and team leads as localized training champions.
- Lead instructor-led training and virtual training when necessary.
