Field Services Technician
About The Position
Alliance Technical Group is seeking a Field Services Technician in Boston, Massachusetts. The role provides direct customer support by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and servicing Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and process analytic systems at industrial facilities. Work may be performed independently or with a team, and includes providing technical support by telephone and over the internet. The position requires an average of 50–75% overnight travel to customer sites, typically Monday through Friday, and participation in an on-call rotation after training. The technician must be willing to work outdoors in industrial environments.
Requirements
- Associate of Science degree, military experience in electronics or instrumentation, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of electronics experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot systems using various test equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and handle other physically demanding situations.
- Ability to climb and work at heights up to or over 200 feet.
- Ability to work in enclosed spaces.
- Flexible schedule.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Demonstrated high performance and ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to work outdoors in industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, repair, and maintain CEMS and process analytic systems at industrial customer facilities.
- Troubleshoot electronic, pneumatic, pump, and other component issues to ensure proper system operation.
- Travel overnight to customer sites an average of 50–75% of the time, typically Monday through Friday.
- Participate in the on-call rotation after completing training; this may occasionally include weekends.
- Provide technical support by telephone and over the internet.
