Field Service Technician-Dallas, TX
About The Position
Quality Data Systems (QDS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair cash automation equipment, including counters, recyclers, and ATMs. The technician travels within a 100-mile radius of their home base, Monday through Friday, and builds relationships with clients while providing service. The individual must live within 30 miles of Dallas; approved locations include McKinney, Denton, Fort Worth, Dallas, Benbrook, Duncanville, Forney, Rockwall, Roanoke, Arlington, Midlothian, and Waxahachie. Technicians participate in a rotating schedule of evening and weekend on-call assignments, determined by territory. Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
- Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic.
- Friendly, sociable manner and ability to build rapport and relationships with customers.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to prioritize a travel schedule and manage time effectively.
- Clean and neat appearance.
- Must live within 30 miles of Dallas, in an approved location.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree preferred.
- One or more years of experience as a field service technician preferred.
- Experience or background in installation or repair of cash automation equipment, office equipment, POS systems, security equipment, or electrical or HVAC work.
- NCR certification or OEM ATM/ITM certification, such as Hyosung, NCR, or Diebold.
Responsibilities
- Bring live and troubleshoot ATMs, ITMs, TCRs, currency discriminators, and coin machines.
- Upgrade software and hardware.
- Diagnose system complications and perform repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with QDS team members and customers.
- Travel within a 100-mile radius of the home base to provide field service.
