About The Position

SAGE Rental Services is seeking a Field Service Technician based out of its Shreveport, Louisiana office. The role provides on-site repair, maintenance, and installation of SAGE rental equipment at customer-owned locations. The ideal candidate is prompt and reliable, has excellent customer support and communication skills, a proven record of customer satisfaction, and is motivated to deliver high-quality service. SAGE Rental Services specializes in renting and selling pumping, trench safety, and general heavy equipment to construction, municipal, and industrial markets. Requirements

Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
High school diploma or GED.
Pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
Be willing and available to be on call 24/7 for after-hours requests.
Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Previous diesel and service experience.
Technical and computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, engine program tools, and rental industry software.
Ability to build strong customer relationships and communicate excellently.
Ability to manage workflow in a timely and consistent manner and work well in a team environment.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
Personal tools required.

Nice To Haves

Trade or technical certification or previous industry experience.
Rotating equipment experience.
2–5 years of experience; heavy equipment industry experience is favorable.

Responsibilities

Perform tests on equipment and machinery.
Diagnose equipment issues and address customer requests or concerns in a timely manner.
Maintain customer relationships and follow company operating and safety guidelines.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and guide customers in proper equipment use.
Create customer work orders and perform machine repairs and maintenance as needed.
Follow workplace safety guidelines and practice environmental standards while on duty or at customer sites.
