About The Position

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for solving end-user problems through troubleshooting minor repairs, alignment, and calibration of equipment, as well as product performance and trial tests to achieve optimum product performance. You will coordinate with Territory Account Manager(s) to manage your territory, develop target opportunities, and handle service/maintenance requests for existing customers. You will utilize SFDC to collect and maintain data about products, machines, materials, end users, and distribution for both Lenox and competitive accounts. Staying updated on industry trends by attending trade shows and seminars and learning about innovative technology is also part of the role. You will maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot distributor welding equipment, motivate distributors and keep distributor sales personnel focused on technical services as a value-added service when selling. Identifying end-user applications to provide cost-effective product recommendations that improve customer quality of process for sawing operations, and coordinating and implementing technical product and application solutions that extend value to customers, consumers, and sales representatives are key responsibilities. You will also learn, understand, and apply all aspects of The Lenox Advantage, Site Survey Process, and reporting tool. Convincing customers of the value of LENOX products, running product trials against competitors and demonstrating the benefits of analyzing price vs. cost are also expected.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of equipment maintenance and repair and/or hands-on experience in a shop production environment or equivalent.
  • Technical and mechanical ability to work with tools and machines.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electric, pneumatic, and mechanical systems is preferable.
  • Sales experience in industrial sales is preferred.
