About The Position

The Field Service Manager (FSM) is responsible for leading and developing a team of Field Service Representatives (FSRs) while ensuring safe, high-quality service delivery and exceptional customer experiences across a diverse portfolio of National VIP and Data Center customers. The FSM serves as both a people leader and trusted customer advisor, partnering with Operations, Service Delivery, and Sales teams to drive operational excellence, support business growth, and deliver customer outcomes across Building Automation, Fire & Security, and Mechanical service offerings. The role requires balancing workforce development, customer engagement, and service delivery execution across geographically dispersed customer sites and critical environments. This position requires a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for developing talent in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the building systems industry, including Building Automation Systems (BAS), Fire & Security, Mechanical Systems, or related technologies.
  • Previous people leadership, mentoring, or team development experience preferred.
  • Strong customer relationships, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to lead in a matrixed environment and collaborate across multiple functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

  • Knowledge of Schneider Electric EcoStruxure and service delivery processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Field Service Representatives, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for service delivery across a portfolio of National VIP and Data Center accounts, ensuring consistent execution and exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with customers through consultative interactions, field engagement, and on-site support.
  • Partner with Service Delivery Managers, Sales, Account Managers, and Operations teams to develop and execute service delivery plans aligned with customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with service standards, processes, and quality expectations throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Drive operational performance through effective planning, workforce utilization, and delivery execution across multiple customer sites and service agreements.
  • Perform field quality audits and provide coaching to improve customer outcomes, technician effectiveness, and service consistency.
  • Support business growth by identifying customer needs and collaborating with account teams to capture additional service opportunities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators related to safety, quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and employee development.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of national service delivery standards and best practices.
