The Kidney Care Specialist (KCS) supports patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) through early education, care navigation, and engagement. The role bridges diagnosis and informed treatment choice by providing consistent education and support across the kidney care continuum. The specialist educates patients about kidney disease progression, treatment options—including home modalities and transplantation—and self-management strategies. It also involves maintaining relationships with referring practices, using digital tools and reports to monitor engagement and program performance, and supporting compliant, continually improving education and workflows. Field-based work may require extensive local or regional travel to physician groups, healthcare locations, and business units, as well as travel for corporate meetings and on-site training. The role requires a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Occasional evening and weekend work may be needed. The position has no direct supervisory responsibilities and works under Kidney Care leadership in collaboration with clinical and operational teams. The rate depends on location and qualifications; the listed range is $XX–$XX.
