About The Position

AmeriCredit, a division of GM Financial, is seeking a driven and fearless Field Dealer Relationship Manager for its Minneapolis, MN location. This role is responsible for the service and support of all Non GM franchise dealers and associate GM Financial products. The primary goal is to develop dealer relationships that generate contracts and ancillary policies, adhering to GM Financial's credit risk and profitability models. The position involves managing assigned dealer relationships to achieve quality and volume objectives, equipping dealers with program knowledge, and maintaining effective communication with dealers and internal partners. The role requires extensive travel (90+%) to assigned dealerships for sales visits, training, and presentations. Additionally, it involves analyzing dealer-specific data using tools like Salesforce and Microsoft Office (including Power BI) to educate, solve problems, and overcome objections.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred (but not required) working knowledge of dealership operations and indirect auto finance industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 0-2 years successful sales, prior credit underwriting, prior ancillary preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support and market all AmeriCredit Financial products by managing assigned dealer relationships to achieve quality and volume objectives.
  • Equip dealers with the knowledge needed to maximize their use of our programs.
  • Strive to outperform expectations with a positive attitude by maintaining effective and impactful communication with dealers and appropriate internal partners.
  • Be home based with the expectation to travel between assigned dealerships 90+% of the time to conduct ongoing sales visits, training and presentations as needed.
  • Analyze dealer-specific data using reporting tools (SalesForce, Microsoft Office incl. Power BI) and take appropriate action using a sales process to educate, solve problems and overcome objections.
